It does function, but it's an absolute nightmare to get working (most of the problem is installing/configuring the PC server app). Get ready to put a few solid hours aside just to get things running. Fast forward/rewind is also broken, and depending on your file format some videos won't play. All that being said, my dad really appreciates the ability to watch recorded TV outside of the living room.

useless cant connect with server unable to use the app

I really like this app and find it better than AMPdroid. It's quite responsive and plays shows/movies very well. Integrates well with the whole Mediaportal experience. I do seem to be experiencing an issue where streaming stops after about 20 mins of play and doesn't log a save point, so that's a bit frustrating. Does the server take precedence over my HTPC's sleep settings like when Mediaportal is in use, or is Windows killing the server because it's time to sleep? Or is it something else altogether? Will purchase premium if I can figure out and resolve this issue.

It's OK...it's almost exactly what I'm looking for, except I can't find a way to set the time display to 12h am/pm standard. In the tv guide I get a mix of 12hour and 24hour, which I find jarring. Could be a setting on my server side, I'll investigate further, and if I can fix it, I'll buy the premium version. Update: the time format issue has been corrected, this app now works perfectly for me ! Upgraded to premium version. Thankyou !

Worked fine until last version, now it won't connect to server. Tried on several devices won't work. Reverted to 1.5.4 and it works perfectly. **revised, the developer was very helpful and fixed the app. The app works really well, my only minor issue is the EPG is a bit slow.

Pat Mosco

It's decent. The interface is a bit old looking at some of the functionality takes way too long to load. But if you over look that, it works as advertised.

Much easier to check schedules and set up ad-hoc recordings. Seems to be pretty stable once you get the correct version of mpextended installed on the mediaportal server.

Very nice cool live TV app

Set up was a little difficult since I had to add the software mentioned to the McAfee exclusion list on my home computer and some port forwarding on my router but I got it running. I like being able to watch my TV from anywhere. I wish playback worked with commercial skip or could fast forward. That would save data usage and improve my experience.
